"Over 270 people attended the town meeting held on the 13th of December 2005
in
the Strathalbyn Town Hall. Council presented many of the issues to
representatives of Primary Industries and Resources SA, The Environment
Protection Agency, the Department of Water, Land, Biodiversity and
Conservation
and the Department of Health. The proponent was also given the opportunity
to
explain the process and the benefits they believed would be brought to the
town.
A resounding vote of No Mine was carried at the end of the meeting."
